Weekend spent with family and friends

This past weekend we travelled to our best friends home about 4 & 1/2 hours drive away, to attend their daughters 21st birthday party. Sebastian and Nicole met us there for the weekend which was wonderful. Jessica's party was great, the whole weekend was great, it is always fantastic to catch up with our friends and it was extra special for Geoffrey and I to get together with our children as well. I made Jessica this quilt for her birthday, I used the pattern "PS - Don't forget the Chocolate" out of Leanne Beasley's Book - Romancing the Road Trip. It is a great pattern, I just whipped it up last week and my dear friend Betty quilted it urgently for me. I have used a comination of fabrics, some from the Moda range Maderia. Jessica loved it so that was the main thing.
I am off to Melbourne this week to the Australian Quilt Market, so if anyone has any great suggestions on what to see and do in Melbourne I would love to hear from you. I am sure I will have a great time down there but it would be wonderful to hear from some locals on the best way to spend a couple of days.
Must get back to my sewing a few more stitches before bed, I will share the project I am working on very soon.
Take care
Kerry

Hmmmm. That is a yummy looking quilt and the name is very fitting! There are quite a few teenagers (and some of us not so teen) that would feel luxious snuggling in a quilt like that!

Happy Birthday to Jessica!! Your quilt looks great Kerry, I have made this quilt 3 times - very easy and something you can whip up in a weekend no worries!! Yours looks bigger than mine - I think mine is 5 x 5 blocks!!
