4 Reasons for todays post - 1 of them is a give away

Well I have 4 reason for todays post
Firstly it is my - or should I say was - my 2nd Blog anniversary this week, I really can't remember what life was like without blogs, thanks to everyone who has visited over the past two years, thanks to all the wonderful friends I have made from all over the world, each day wouldn't be near as good without you all in it.
Secondly - I am up to 170 - posts, I know that might not sound alot for 2 years but I reckon I have done pretty well to squeeze in 170 posts in my busy life.
Thirdly - I would like to celebrate by giving away one of my many quilts to a lucky person who leaves a comment over the next week. I would like all those out there in blog land to leave a comment and I tell me which of their quilts is their favourite.
My very favourite quilt out of all the dozens I have made is my Thimbleberries Pansy Park quilt, I usually have this quilt on my bed and every day I admire how wonderful this quilt is. I love the design, the colours and the fabrics. It suits my bedroom so well, I just love it.
Fourth reason for tonights blog is to share some news with you and let you know that this will be my last posting on blogger, I have a new blog so click on here to take a look.
Thanks once again to everyone for reading about my life and business over the past 2 years, I hope we can spend many more together.
Have a great weekend, I am off to see Rod Stewart in concert.

Congratulations 2 years!!!! Well my favourite quilt is in actual fact one of your patterns, go figure! Mine is probably for a very different reason than most. My Wheels are a turning flannel quilt that I made at a weekend retreat with all my friends around is my favourite. When I am really home sick and have cabin fever, which is offen, I curl up in my quilt and remember the weekend and all my friends and think I can do this till the next retreat. Ha ha It actually goes with me to the rockies so also should be the most experienced traveller quilt, used offen in the back seat by the kids in the -30 degrees temps. Oh Rod Stewart, make sure you hear, sing, dance a song for me. I am so jealous. I also couldnt get to your link. Gremlins again.
See ya

My very favorite quilt is an applique quilt that I did several years ago. It was done all by hand. It was by Terry Thompson Clothier. Congratulations on making it to 2 years!

Can I choose two? 1st is the quilt on my bed at the moment, a red and white railroad crossing quilt, made from R&W fq's from a swap. 2nd is an embroidered quilt I made last year using Bronwyn Hayes designs, all set in pretty soft femiine pastels. Congrats on your 2 years and 170 posts.
Will add your new blog to my list.

Hi Kerry,
I couldn't get to your new site... hope you'll post another link please. Well done on 2 years of blogging and all that you fit into every day.
My favourite quilt is one I made over many years with red paper-pieced and appliqued hearts on calico with blue QST's. It all came about when a friend sent me a postcard of such a quilt and then sometime later that same friend sent me a 6" pieced red heart block which got me started. Sadly I knocked over a cup of tea on it and it has a nasty stain that I'm too frightened to attempt to remove so it lies on the end of my bed (with the stain folded inwards), but I still love it for the memories that the fabric holds.
Keep on blogging :O) xka

Congratulations Kerry, Two years has just flown......
My fav quilt at the moment (as I haven't made many) would have to be my first quilt that I made myself, scrap fabrics, step design, quilted it and finished all myself. I love it 'cause it sits in the loungeroom and gets used often, summer & winter. More favourites to come in the next few years I'm sure.

Happy bloggiversary. My favorite quilt is actually the first blue quilt I made. I have problems using blue in my quilts but when I do they are my favorites. So perhaps I'm into a change in colours now.

Congrats on your 2nd anniversary and change over to Typepad, something I am thinking of doing with my blog. Let me know what you think of the change, is it all worth it? How difficult was the change? I have many favourite quilts but this one called 'Simply Roses' is out on the line again today airing and it is the one I sleep under the most. It's old now but it is my own design and I think will remain a firm favourite. http://plainjanecreations.blogspot.com/2007/03/i-make-quilts-sometimes-too.html You reminded me I have a Pansy Park kit in my cupboard, should really get that underway.

Congratulations for two years blogging. My favourite quilt is the quilt I made for my little daughter. She is 7 years old. it is a sunbonnet sue quilt and I used fabrics from clothes I made. It is my first quilt.

Congratulations Kerry!
My favourite quilt is one I made for my Nan's 80th birthday. It was done in calico with a red check binding and backing. The whole quilt was hand quilted with my nan's family tree, going back 9 generations including my Nan but not my mothers generation nor mine.
It is very special because of the history, and because it was for a special occasion for my Nan.
When I gave it to her I sat it on her lap and said 'Here Nan, keep your legs warm'. Then she looked down at it, and looked again ..'ooohhhh Rebecca' was what she replied with, then went on to inspect it further.
Hope you enjoyed the concert.

My favorite quilt that I've made is a woven log cabin for my son/DIL's wedding. My second choice would have to be the Bloomin' 9-Patch I made. I plan to make both again.

Your quilts I love as well... especially the Irish in the Corner!

Hi Kerry

Cogratulations! I'm in awe of your wonderful achievement of 170 posts, all the gorgeous quilts and the myriad of other things you manage to do!
My favourite quilt is Smithsonian Charm, made in 2000 with reproduction fabrics from Smithsonian Museum in the US. The pattern was in a McCalls Quilting magazine and it looked stunning so I hunted down the exact fabrics, rich and deeply coloured. I love it on my antique brass bed.
I'd love to say Pansy Park is also my favourite, as I LOVE the colours too, but mine is still not finished!!!
Best wishes always, Meredith

Happy bloggiversary, and keep up your lovely blog on the new site!
My favourite quilt? I have a lovely quilt made for me when I moved away from London, by the quilting group I joined there. It has various squares made up in the same colours, of calico, pale green and red on white with greens, which they made individually, and then joined together, and created a quilt which I took to my new home for quilting myself. Everytime I look at it I think of them all working so hard for me! Love it, love them! Fran.UK (franmachardy@hotmail.com)

Congrats on two years of blogging. I just found your blog and will be following you as I catch up on reading from your archives. I haven't made a lot of quilts but I think my favorite was the Country Sampler. It was a lot of applique and very pretty when finished and of course, my daughter fell in love with it so I had to give it to her.

congrats on two years!

I have only made two quilts myself and I would have to say the second one is my favorite. It is very vintage looking and I love that about it.

I am currently making a quilt from 1930's reproduction fabrics and I am in love with this one too, I can't wait to have it finished so I can put it on the bed in our guest room. I wanted something bright and homey.

HI Kerry,
Congratulations on your 2nd bloganniversary - that is a wonderful accomplishment.
I don't know how to choose my favorite quilt from the ones that I have made in the last 10 years since I have started quilting- I think that the ones that have given away have given me the most pleasure. There is nothing like the feeling of seeing people's look of awe and pleasure at receiving a quilt.Perhaps the one I gave my beloved grandmother- this is a hard question..
I hope that you get your new blog going - I am sure it will be a great success.
Regards from a Western Canadian Quilter,
Anna

Two years of sharing and providing us with inspiration- thanks! My favourite quilt is the one I have just finished (I only have 3 to choose from!). It's a shaggy flannel and chenille quilt. Some of the flannel is from your store and the chenille is from my Grandma's old bedspread. Very snuggly and sentimental too.

I still find the colours in it gorgeous and although it was only the second quilt I ever made I am really proud of how well it turned out. I look forward to seeing what you do with the Sachet Flannels range!!

I love Pansy Park although I haven't finished it yet! My first effort was a log cabin done in brown and rust shades of liberty prints. I still love the colours and have many of the fabrics left. I would like to make another one in a different design.

Congratulations on 2 blogging years- that i a wonderful effort. I think my favourite quilt is the one i made my boyfriend Hamish for his birthday, it was hard to pick the colours and do the quilting and the piecing was very basic but to see the look on his face when he recieved it was what made the quilt so special and is what quiltmaking is all about for me.
Looking forward to reading about your adventures again at your new home!
